Xylella fastidiosa bacteria, similar to the ones causing CVC, in the interior of a xylem vessel in Coffee. Transversal section, above, 9,200X, and longitudinal section, below, 2,000X. These bacteria cause a disease in Coffee known as Coffee Leaf Scorch. Although very similar, the bacteria of Coffee and citrus represent distinct strains of X. fastidiosa.
